Who you are agreeing with
The contracting entity and governing law have not been set, which is why this document is marked as a draft above. Until they are, there is no identified counterparty and these terms are incomplete.
By creating an account, enrolling in a course or using the mobile app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
The service
UniSupport provides preparation courses, a searchable directory of universities and programmes, and admissions support. Some of it is free; some requires a paid plan or a per-course purchase.
We do not guarantee an outcome. Nothing in the service is a promise that you will be admitted to any university, awarded any scholarship, or granted any visa. Those decisions belong to the institutions and authorities that make them, and they apply their own criteria. We help you prepare and apply; we do not decide, and we cannot influence, the result.
University data — rankings, fees, entry requirements, deadlines — is compiled from public sources and from the institutions themselves. It changes, and it can be wrong or out of date. Verify anything you are relying on against the institution's own published information before you act on it.
Your account
- You must be at least 16, and the details you give us must be accurate. An account is for one person: do not share your credentials or let anyone else use your enrolments.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
- We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms, and will say why unless doing so would defeat the purpose.
Course content and your licence to it
- Enrolling gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to view the course for as long as your access lasts. It does not transfer ownership of anything.
- Do not download, re-record, re-host, resell or redistribute course material, and do not share your access with people who have not enrolled. This is the one restriction we enforce hardest, because the material is the product.
- Anything you submit — assignment answers, questions, reviews — stays yours. You give us the permission needed to store it, show it back to you, and show it to the instructor where that is the point of submitting it.
Certificates
A certificate from UniSupport records that you completed a course on this platform. It is not an academic qualification, it is not accredited, and it does not carry credit at any institution. Whether any university or employer recognises it is entirely up to them.
Fees, renewals and refunds
- Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency displayed at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal; we never receive your card number.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in.
- Refunds. If a paid course is materially not as described, or you have substantially not used it, write to support@unisupport.co and we will deal with it. We do not refund a course you have worked through, and we do not refund because an application was unsuccessful — see the clause above on outcomes.
- Where you have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase, that right stands regardless of this section. Note that in most jurisdictions it ends once you begin consuming digital content, which starts when you open the course.
Acceptable use
Do not use UniSupport to:
- break the law, infringe someone's rights, or impersonate anyone;
- upload malware, or probe, scan or attack the service or its infrastructure;
- scrape the course catalogue or university directory in bulk, or build a competing dataset from it;
- abuse, harass or threaten other learners, instructors or our staff;
- circumvent paywalls, share access, or help anyone else do either.
If you find a security vulnerability, report it to support@unisupport.co rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue someone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and does not exfiltrate or destroy data.
Your data
What we collect and who else sees it is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. We aim to keep the service available and we do not currently measure availability, so committing to a percentage would be a number with nothing behind it. We will not pretend otherwise in a contract.
Features can change, and a course can be withdrawn or updated. If we remove a paid course you are enrolled in, we will give you access to a replacement or refund the unused part.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, or a place, scholarship or visa you did not obtain. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including, in many places, your statutory consumer rights, which these terms do not displace.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using UniSupport and delete your account at any time. We can end your access if you materially break these terms, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the service — in which case we refund the unused part of anything you have paid for.
Clauses that are meant to outlast the agreement — the licence restrictions, liability and governing law — continue after it ends.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell account holders directly, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and tell us — we will refund the unused part of a paid period.
